Nine high-energy dancers from Face Da Phlave (“flave”) demonstrate the
origins of the hip hop culture, from its historical roots in dance
clubs out to urban streets, highlighting an eclectic mix of styles,
from breaking, locking and popping to house dance. Face Da Phlave is a
dynamic ensemble of trained dancers from Philadelphia and Southern New
Jersey who have joined forces to create and perform original hip hop
dance in local schools and throughout the community.
