Drum World

Chakaba is always in masquerade and walking on stilts and the shekere wears a beaded skirt. What's going on? Two Cuban dances that honor the forces of nature are part of this non-stop celebration of West Nigerian folklore. Led by master drummer Leonard "Doc" Gibbs, Ilu Aiye also introduces some of the lesser-known instruments from around the world. 3 drummers, 2 dancers and stilt walker.
