Cinderella
Susan Cade and Michele MacDonald provide a unique opportunity for students to bring a well known fairytale and its characters to life. The residency starts with a brief history of ballet and an overview of the time period during which Cinderella was choreographed. Students examine the various versions of the Cinderella story and Susan and Michele teach students basic ballet movements and choreography to bring one of the interpretations to life. As part of the culminating performance, students design and make the backdrops, costume and props. Note: An art teacher is required for this residency. Pages to Pirouettes was founded by two accomplished ballet dancers, Susan Cade and Michele MacDonald.
